Class Description: This is the one day Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) course covering the assesment and treatment of trauma patients. This course includes didactic and practical skill stations. Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear.

Comments: Course Cost for Non-Maine Residents - $600 Course Cost for Maine Residents is covered by a Homeland Security Grant. All participants must sign an agreement co-signed by their supervisor agreeing to pay tuition in full if the students fails to attend all three days of the course.

Class Description: This is an intensive course aimed at providers who are members or plan to be memebers of a Hazmat Team. Preparation for the course includes reading the text, taking a prechem bridge course that will be sent out electronically and taking a pre-test two weeks before the course starts.

General Comments: Course Times are:Day I 2:00 to 6:30 PM: Day II 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM: Day III 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. All meals and breaks are included.

Water Safety/Rescue Course

Class Description: This course will focus on the fundamentals of water safety and the basic skills required for a water rescue.

General Comments: This course has both a classroom and practical experience that requires students to participate in both shallow and deep water rescue drills.

Class Description: This course meets all the requirements for Maine re-licensure and meets the NREMT requirements to sit for the Registry Exam.

General Comments: United employees may use Education Funds for this course.
